Referring to the defeat of the foreign plots hatched against the legitimate government of President Assad, he added, “In my meeting with Mr. Awn we had shared ideas about the defeat of the foreign plots in Syria and the improving social and political situation there.”

Amir-Abdollahian added, “We are sure that President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian nation are capable of keeping alive the resistance movement in their country as a link in the regional chain of resistance.”

He reiterated, “We announce very loudly that the plans and plots hatched by the aliens against Syria have reached the end of a dead-end alley, and the Islamic Republic of Iran in accordance with its fixed stands in defense of the regional nations’ rights, supports the righteous demands of the Syrian people and the need for presentation of constructive political solutions to solve the crisis there.”

The Iranian deputy foreign minister reiterated, “The Islamic Republic of Iran believes the interventions of the aliens in Syrian only contribute to further complication of the crisis there, as well as the growth of terrorism in that country, creating more obstacles in the way of sound crisis resolution in the favor of the Syrian nation.”

Elsewhere in the press conference referred to the will of the Lebanese nation to keep up and alive their resistance movement, arguing, “While praising the high spirit of the brave Lebanese nation and the political groups involved in this sacred resistance, we once again hereby stress the Islamic Republic of Iran’s unlimited support for Lebanon at all possible fields.”

Asked about Iran’s stand on the ongoing situation in Bahrain, he said, “The demand of the people of Bahrain have totally been ignored, and we believe beginning national talks would serve as a prelude for implementation of reforms in Bahrain and putting an end to the crack down and massacre of the oppressed people of that country.”

Referring to the military presence of some Arab regional countries in Bahrain, he stressed, “This factor has further complicated the chaotic conditions in Bahrain.”

The Iranian top diplomat said, “The military presence of some regional Arab countries in the region is obvious breaching of the national integrity and independence of Bahrain.”

The top Iranian official added, “The Islamic Republic of Iran’s stands regarding the regional developments are fixed and we keep on strongly supporting the demands of the Syrian nation and government, in line with strengthening the resistance line in the region.”

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that the situation in Syria is headed towards stability, adding ”We are seeing security and stability return to all Syrian cities.”

Also, in an interview with Russia Today TV Channel on Thursday, Ami-Abdollahian stressed that the Syrian government and people have confronted foreign interference and terrorist acts over the past few months, noting that national dialogue will proceed with sure steps in the future.

He reiterated his country’s rejection of foreign interference in the Syrian affairs, indicating that foreign interference was invoked by some at the outset of the crisis who later abandoned it having seen the situation on the ground.

Abdollahian said that Western countries, the US and Israel relied on Arab countries for information on the political and field circumstances in Syria, but Syria managed to get over it.

”Iran’s relations with Syria are strategic,” said Amir-Abdollahian, adding ”We view Syria as an important country in the axis of resistance, and the Syrian people have a heightened sense of national unity.”
