Leader honors 7,000 Iranian female martyrs
The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday honored 7,000 Iranian women martyrs.

According to IRNA, the Leader made the remarks in a message to Congress on 7,000 Women Martyrs.
The Leader welcomed the initiative to pay tribute to thousands of Iranian women who dedicated their lives to Islam in the course of US-backed Iraqi-imposed war on Iran (1980-1988).
He said “They were great people who brought a new definition to women’s lifestyle in the East and the West.”
The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that in the East culture, women have been humiliated as the people without major role in history, but, in the West they put emphasis on their sex to serve objectives of emerging capitalism.
He added that the courage and merits of Iranian women proved that they could introduce a third pattern something different from the eastern and western women.
The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that Iranian women protect their families and play significant role at political and social events.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that role and status of Muslim women throughout history are very prominent.
