‘Discussions and liaison between regional countries can prevent adventurism’

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Ali Larijani, has said discussions and coordination between regional nations can prevent adventurism within the Middle East region.

According to IRIB World Service, speaking at a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Ali Larijani commented on adventurism in the Middle East by certain countries and said democracy should be established in Syria, and there is absolutely no way of establishing clam and stability in Syria through military means.
Commenting on remarks by US Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton, who had earlier called for direct negotiations between Tehran and Washington, Ali Larijani said if the US government genuinely wants to negotiate with Iran, then the window to negotiations is open and the US can through the 5+1 Group negotiate with the Islamic republic of Iran.
The Speaker of the Iranian parliament emphasized that Tehran had made some excellent proposals in its meetings with the 5+1 Group which unfortunately the other side had not pursued, opting instead for imposition of further sanctions on Iran.
