4554b61a1643262e1b5fc5c2f03f09d2_LA senior Iranian legislator has underlined the need for the renunciation of violence by all Egyptians in favor of the country’s national unity.

According to Press TV, Chairman of Iran Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Tuesday “The Egyptian nation should not allow the enemies of Egypt and foreigners to take advantage of internal discords in this country.”
He praised the Egyptians as a great nation that has pioneered political developments over the past few years.
Boroujerdi stated “Given the emergence of the wave of Islamic Awakening in this country… I think that the Egyptian people are sensitive towards foreign intervention — particularly from the United States and the Zionist regime in their internal affairs.”
He went on to say that the Egyptians should follow the example of countries that adhere to national independence and rely on domestic potentials, and do not follow in the footsteps of the US, Israel or their allies.
He described discord as something natural in societies where people feel free.
The top Iranian legislator pointed out “What is of great importance is that Egypt would be able to hold free elections in the near future, and people would determine their own destiny in various areas…”
