Emir Arslan to al-Ahed: We Must Harbor the Resistance

Seven years from Lebanon’s victory over the “Israeli” aggression in 2006 did not change the stance of the head of the Lebanese Democratic Party Talal Arslan in the least; He still believes in the path of resistance and the righteousness of its weapon.

Arslan, who did not doubt for one second any victory that the resistance would bring, denounced the several attempts of isolating Hizbullah from the next governmental formation, describing it as “political guileless”.

In an interview with al-Ahed News website, Arslan congratulated Hizbullah’s Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on the occasion of the August victory, adding, “This occasion concerns all of us as Lebanese, especially when “Israel” still wants our rights in Lebanon and the region.”

Moreover, the Emir expressed his sorrow that “the nation is going through a tough period”, but he maintained the resistance’s role in “the birth of hope in achieving victories, in contrary to all the defeats that the Arab nations lived throughout the years.”

The head of the Democratic Party further believed in “the resistance’s determination and solid will of its leader”, highlighting that the “qualitative military balance that it imposed by facing “Israel” is the essential factor preventing Lebanon from any new Zionist aggression.”

According to Arslan, all expectations point out that the campaign against the resistance will be doubled, especially after it was placed on the European Union terrorist list as a result to its endurance and stances.

He further believed, “All pressures on Lebanon and its resistance come in the context of serving “Israel” exclusively, because its strength embarrassed the West and some Arabs and Lebanese.”

Furthermore, Arslan called on to “maintain the historic victory of 2006 by harboring the resistance and stepping away from any doubt of our potential and determination, because experience proves that the resistance’s progress embarrassed “Israel”.”
