Enemies must stop intimidating Iran

The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has urged enemies to stop the policy of threat and intimidation against Iran and instead take up strategies commensurate with the power of the Islamic Republic.

According to Press TV, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said on Friday “The arrogant system must review and revise its path of behavior towards the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic in terms of the potential and actual capacity of the defensive and offensive power of the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly the IRGC’s strategic deterrence might.”
Speaking during a visit to the missile and vessel units of the IRGC Navy in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, the commander also emphasized that Iran dominates the world’s strategic energy reserves, and as the guardian of this section of the world economy, it cares about the security of the Persian Gulf region.
In December 2012, IRGC Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi warned that the US seeks to maintain its dominion over the world by taking control of the energy resources in the Middle East, saying, “They are certainly incapable of establishing sustainable security in the region.”
The senior Iranian commander added that security could be established in the Persian Gulf through the cooperation of regional countries.
