Imam Khomeini (RA): Shia and Sunni people are the same

“From the viewpoint of the late Imam Khomeini (RA), Shai and Sunni people are the same,” said Friday prayer leader in Sistan and Baluchestan.
“The late Imam Khomeini (RA) during his life concerned only about people and never looked for his own interests,” said Friday prayer leader in Sistan and Baluchestan.

“Imam Khomeini (RA) gave his consummate attempts to defend oppressed nations and people, that is the reason why people never forget him,” the friday prayer leader said.

Sunni leader in Sistan and Baluchestan went on, “to Imam Khomeini, Shia and Sunni people are brothers and equal in their rights.”

“Imam Khomeini never discriminated between Shia and Sunni people,” said the Sunni leader stating that the Late Imam Khomeini devoted his life for Islam.

His remarks came as millions of Iranian nations countrywide marked the 22nd death anniversary of the late leader on June 4 , who founded the Islamic Revolution victory in 1979.
