Palestinian child killed in confrontations in al-Khalil

images_News_2014_08_10_khalil_300_0An 11-year-old boy was killed at the hands of Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during confrontations in Fawar refugee camp in al-Khalil on Sunday.

Eyewitnesses told the PIC that young men and minors threw stones and empty bottles at invading IOF troops, who responded by firing live bullets injuring a number of young men and killing the boy Khalil al-Anati.

Violent clashes then erupted during which three other Palestinian youngsters were wounded.

Activist Ratib al-Jabour told the PIC that the Israeli soldiers fired live and metal bullets in addition to teargas at hundreds of Palestinian citizens wounding the three citizens.

In another incident, dozens of Palestinian civilians were treated for gas inhalation in the wake of confrontations near Jalama military checkpoint to the north east of Jenin earlier Sunday.

IOF soldiers heavily fired teargas canisters at the peaceful march that was organized in solidarity with Gaza and in protest against the Israeli onslaught against the besieged enclave for over 35 days.
