Heroic Al-Quds Operation Kills 3 ‘israelis’: Palestinians Keep Up Resistance Momentum

Two Palestinians killed three Israelis and injured six others, two of them seriously, in a heroic operation at the entrance to Al-Quds (Jerusalem) on Thursday morning.

At around 7:40 a.m. two Palestinian gunmen got out of a vehicle on Weizman Street at the main entrance to the Palestinian capital and opened fire at Israelis at a bus stop, according to Israeli occupation police.

Footage showed that the Palestinian attackers were armed with an M-16 assault rifle and a handgun, the Times of Israel reported, adding that a police search of the vehicle found large amounts of ammunition.

Police said two off-duty soldiers and an armed settler in the area returned fire, killing the two Palestinians who were named as brothers Murad Namr, 38, and Ibrahim Namr, 30, from East Al-Quds.

The Shin Bet Israeli security agency claimed that the pair were Hamas members and previously jailed by Israeli occupation.

Murad was jailed between 2010 and 2020 for planning attacks against Israelis and Ibrahim was jailed in 2014, the agency said.

Israeli occupation forces immediately stormed the houses of the two martyrs in occupied Al-Quds’ Sour Baher town, and arrested several members of their families.

Israeli media reported that one of the killed was the Rabbi Elimelech Vaserman. Israeli Religious Affairs Minister Michael Malchieli said Vaserman had served as a judge in the Rabbinical Court of Ashdod, calling him one of the most important and senior judges in the rabbinical court system.

The Magen David Adom Israeli ambulance service said two of the wounded were listed in serious condition, three in moderate condition, and one in good condition.

The bus stop was the scene of a deadly bomb attack almost exactly a year ago.

Thursday’s operation came as a ceasefire between the Israeli occupation and the Hamas resistance group in the Gaza Strip was extended for seventh day.
