Gaza Death Toll Surpasses 52,535 Amid Hospital Fuel Blockade
The ongoing zionist blockade continues to prevent fuel deliveries to hospitals in Gaza, heightening the risk of shutdowns amid a rising death toll, which has now reached 52,535. The critically low fuel supplies are causing growing concern for the region's healthcare facilities.

Israeli authorities continue to hinder international and United Nations agencies from accessing designated fuel storage sites intended for hospitals in Gaza, citing their presence in what are referred to as “red zones.” This obstruction poses a significant threat to critical hospital operations, which are heavily dependent on fuel-powered generators to maintain essential medical services.
Health authorities in Gaza have reported that the remaining fuel supplies in hospitals are projected to last only an additional three days.
In the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health in Gaza has documented 40 fatalities and 125 people injured amid ongoing Israeli military actions in the region.
As of May 4, the conflict that began on October 7, 2023, has resulted in a total of 52,535 fatalities, while 118,491 individuals have been reported injured.
Since the renewal of hostilities in Gaza on March 18, 2025, a total of 2,436 individuals have lost their lives and 6,450 have sustained injuries.
Hospitals and humanitarian organizations have issued a dire warning regarding the situation in Gaza, stating that the region is on the brink of a catastrophic crisis. Severe shortages of food and medicine have reached critical levels as a result of the ongoing siege imposed by Israel on the Strip.
The Kuwait Specialized Hospital in Rafah announced on Saturday a severe shortage of the majority of crucial medications and essential nutritional supplies required for patient care. It was emphasized that more than 75% of essential medical supplies are critically deficient in the Gaza Strip.
A Kuwaiti hospital has issued a grave warning, indicating that its capacity to sustain medical services is now in jeopardy. The facility has highlighted that its current stock of medicines and essential medical supplies will only suffice for roughly one more week. Without prompt and decisive action, the majority of healthcare services are projected to cease operations.
