Senior Nusra Commander Killed by Syrian Army in Hama Province

The Syrian Army troops’ special operation in the Southwestern battlefronts of the province of Hama claimed the lives of many terrorists of al-Nusra Front, including their senior commander, the army said.
“Abu Misha’al, the leader of al-Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front in the village of Aqrab 30 kilometers to the Southwest of Hama city, was killed alongside several comrades in the Syrian commandoes’ special operation,” the army said.

The Syrian army and it allies have intensified attacks on the militant groups across the province in the recent weeks.

On Friday, centers of the terrorist groups of Jeish al-Fatah, Ajnad al-Sham and al-Izza Jama’ah were heavily stormed by the Syrian Army and popular forces in different parts of Hama province.

“At least seven terrorists of Jeish al-Fatah were killed as a result of the pro-government forces’ attacks in the Northern countryside of Hama,” the army said at the time.

“In the meantime, the army commandoes carried out a special operation against a position of the so-called al-Izza Jama’ah in al-Lataminah town 35 kilometers North of Hama, which claimed the lives of at least five terrorists,” the army added.

“The army also killed two and injured 12 other members of the so-called Jeish al-Fatah in a special operation against one of their positions near Kafr Zita town,” the army went on to say.

“Military vehicles of Ajnad al-Sham were meantime destroyed in the Syrian forces’ offensives in Kafr Zita town,” the army added.
