Supreme Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed, Imam Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has urged the nation’s officials to capitalize on Iran’s recent inclusion in the BRICS group, emphasizing the importance of reducing reliance on the US dollar.

On Wednesday, January 22nd, Iranian authorities convened the “Pioneers of Progress” event, where a collective of local manufacturers and private sector leaders held a meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei. The gathering took place at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah in Tehran.

During the meeting, the Leader characterized Iran’s inclusion in the BRICS group as a significant opportunity that should be strategically leveraged to mitigate the impact of sanctions and bolster the country’s economic development.

Ayatollah Khamenei has urged Iranian diplomatic officials to bolster the nation’s economic sector, highlighting the financial framework of BRICS as a significant opportunity for Iran.

He stated that conducting trade exchanges among BRICS member nations in local currencies would significantly benefit Iran, as the country currently faces challenges stemming from its reliance on the US dollar.

The leader emphasized that several BRICS nations are hesitant to eliminate the use of the US dollar due to political considerations. He highlighted the importance of employing diplomatic efforts to persuade these countries to move away from the dollar.

Ayatollah Khamenei has emphasized the strategic objective of BRICS member nations to minimize reliance on the US dollar in their trade transactions. He described this initiative as a pivotal and significant endeavor in the economic arena, highlighting its potential impact as a critical and influential strategy.

The Leader emphasized caution in response to removing the dollar from trade transactions, asserting that Iran’s economy stands to benefit once this strategy is executed. Furthermore, the Leader noted that the Central Bank of Iran is preparing to facilitate the use of alternative foreign currencies, potentially strengthening the nation’s economic position.

Ayatollah Khamenei declared, “Our battle today is an economic one,” underscoring the importance of bolstering Iran’s production through private sector involvement.

The Leader emphasized that a sanctioned nation must focus on utilizing its domestic resources and capabilities.

He further urged the Iranian authorities to support the private sector by eliminating existing barriers hindering its progress.

His Eminence commended the advancements achieved by the private sector, despite enduring years of unlawful economic sanctions imposed by the United States and its allies.

The Leader highlighted the efforts undertaken by various working groups to achieve an 8% economic growth in Iran. He stated that experts have identified the potential resources and capabilities, outlined investment strategies, and devised appropriate solutions.

Ayatollah Khamenei has called upon officials to earnestly implement strategies aimed at achieving an 8-percent economic growth rate in Iran.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei emphasized the resilience of the resistance movement, asserting that it remains vibrant and enduring. He declared that Gaza has achieved victory, describing the recent conflict as mythical in nature.

Imam Khamenei has asserted that without support from the United States, Israel would have faced defeat within the initial weeks of conflict.
