Hama: Long Convoy, Arms Depot of ISIL Destroyed in Syrian Airstrikes, Heavy Death Toll Reported

 

 

The Syrian Air Force carried out several combat flights over ISIL’s movements in Eastern and Southwestern Hama, destroying a long convoy of ISIL’s vehicles and a large arms depot and killing 37 terrorists.

The fighter jets bombed heavily ISIL’s convoy of military vehicles along a road to Aqayrabat al-Qasateh in Eastern Hama, destroying at least six vehicles and killing 29 terrorists.

In the meantime, the army aircraft pounded ISIL’s positions in the village of Hamadi Omar and Souha in the Eastern countryside of al-Salamiyah town, destroying a depot of arms and ammunition, and killing eight militants while five more militants were also badly injured in the air raid.

Reports from Syria said on Thursday that a sum of 197 militants were killed and hundreds of others were injured in the army’s preemptive strikes in Hama.

Al-Watan newspaper reported that Ahrar al-Sham and Faylaq al-Sham terrorist groups stationed in Kafar Zita in Northwestern Hama had plotted to attack the army positions in Reef al-Hamawi (outskirts of Hama) but were surprised by the Syrian troops’ preemptive strike.

Over 87 militants were killed and more than 160 others were wounded, reports said, adding that the terrorists also lost several military vehicles, a bomb-laden car and an arms truck in the attack.

Also, in the Northern outskirts of Hama, the Syrian fighter jets pounded the terrorists’ positions and moves North of Murak area, killing 109 terrorists and injuring over 200 others.

Army reports said over 11 military vehicles and two cars carrying the militants were also smashed in the raid.
