Hamas: Abbas’ governments were separatist and served his agenda

The Hamas Movement has affirmed that the government of Rami al-Hamdallah played a major role in perpetuating the inter-Palestinian division and disrupting the citizens’ interests.

In a statement on Tuesday, Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum described the resignation of the Ramallah-based government as “an exchange of roles with the Fatah Movement and its chief Mahmoud Abbas to pave the way for them to form another separatist government serving their agenda.”

Spokesman Barhoum stressed the need for forming a national unity government and holding elections for the presidency, the legislative council and the national council.
