Hamas accuses the US of ‘stalling’ to allow ‘israel’ to persist in acts of genocide
According to the Palestinian resistance group Hamas, the United States is "stalling" to allow Israel to prolong its genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.

Osama Hamdan, the group’s spokesperson in Lebanon, conveyed these comments to Qatar’s Al Jazeera TV network on Monday.
He stated that the movement had accepted a truce proposal presented by the administration of US President Joe Biden the previous month.
“We accepted Biden’s proposal, but the US administration couldn’t persuade [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu,” stated Hamdan.
“The Israelis reversed their stance on matters outlined in Biden’s proposal,” he stated.
After Tel Aviv’s reversal, the United States, Egypt, and Qatar, who have been facilitating negotiations for a truce agreement, announced the development of a new plan.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken later stated that Netanyahu had “agreed” to the plan.
Hamdan, however, emphasized that Hamas would only consent to enforcing the earlier proposal.
The previous proposal included elements such as a lasting ceasefire, the regime pulling out of Gaza, and a plan for reconstruction.
The Hamas spokesperson similarly emphasized that any accord “must cover five key elements: cessation of the assault, withdrawal from Gaza, and reconstruction efforts.”
“We remain dedicated to fulfilling our commitments and are prepared to do so without delay. The person hindering the progress toward an agreement is Netanyahu,” he stated.
Since October 7, when the regime initiated the war in reaction to a counter-operation by Gaza’s resistance groups, at least 40,139 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have lost their lives and approximately 92,743 others have been injured.
