The Hamas Movement has denounced Israel’s continued strategy of targeting resistance fighters and intensifying assaults on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. They described these actions as frantic efforts to curb the rising resistance movement.

Hamas has declared that the recent targeted assassinations of its fighters, coupled with incidents such as the shooting near Jenin and a vehicle ramming attack in al-Khalil, will only bolster the resolve of the West Bank’s youth to challenge and resist the ongoing occupation.

The Movement expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of two of its fighters, Noor Abdel Karim Al-Baytawi from Jenin and Hikmat Gheith Abdel Nabi from Nablus. Both individuals lost their lives during an armed confrontation, having been surrounded by Israeli forces in a residence east of Nablus. In a statement, Hamas commended their “heroic stand” and emphasized that their martyrdom would serve to intensify resistance efforts rather than diminish them.

Hamas has issued a call to the residents of the West Bank to maintain their support for resistance fighters, encouraging the youth in the area to intensify their actions against Israeli military personnel and settlers. This plea comes amid accusations from Hamas regarding alleged Israeli offenses against the population of Gaza.

Reports indicate that Israeli forces have conducted a targeted operation resulting in the deaths of Noor Al-Baytawi, a commander within the Jenin Battalion, and Hikmat Abdel Nabi, a fighter sought by authorities from Nablus. The incident, which unfolded in the Ain Kakoub area east of Nablus, involved an intense gunfight, with the fighters reportedly being targeted by a drone equipped with explosives.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society in Nablus reported that its teams retrieved the bodies of two individuals from the debris of a besieged residence after Israeli forces, who alleged possession of the bodies, retreated from the area.
