Syrian army pounds terrorists positions in de-escalation zone

According to the 2017 agreement among Iran, Russia, and Turkey as the guarantor countries of the Astana Peace Talks, four de-escalation zones were established in Syria.

Three regions came under the control of the Syrian army in 2018, but the fourth region, which includes Idlib province in northwestern Syria and small parts of Latakia, Hama, and Aleppo provinces, is still under the control of terrorist and adversary groups.

Meanwhile, Syrian news sources reported that Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have targeted an area near a Turkish base in Syria’s Kaljibrin with 3 rockets.

Under the pretext of fighting PKK terrorists, Turkey has deployed its troops in areas of northern Iraq and Syria and is conducting aerial attacks on parts of the northern areas of these countries. Turkey’s action has been met with strong reactions from the legitimate and legal governments of Baghdad and Damascus.
