Hamas Condemns Intensified Israeli Military Operations in Jenin; Criticizes Assault on Foreign Diplomats
The Palestinian resistance faction, Hamas, has vehemently condemned the ongoing and intensified bulldozing and demolition activities conducted by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin. This operation has now persisted for 123 consecutive days.

In a statement issued on Friday, Hamas accused the occupying forces of escalating their efforts to systematically bulldoze and demolish, with the intent of obliterating Palestinian landmarks.
The Palestinian resistance organization has alleged that Israeli forces are “intensifying the blockade and obstructing the residents of Jenin from accessing their homes.”
Preliminary evaluations indicate that the aggression has resulted in the total destruction of 600 homes in the camp, while the remaining structures have sustained partial damage, leaving them unfit for habitation, according to statements from Hamas.
Reports suggest that the occupation has constructed approximately 15 roads within the confines of Jenin Camp, an area spanning less than half a square kilometer.
The resistance movement reports that the city has experienced significant damage to its buildings, facilities, and infrastructure.
The aggression has resulted in the complete destruction of infrastructure and significant damage to much of the city, causing basic services to come to a standstill.
Hamas has reported that Israeli occupying forces are persistently conducting raids in Jenin and the surrounding areas, subjecting residents to mistreatment and mass arrests.
In a statement, Hamas accused regime forces of a significant escalation, alleging that they directly targeted numerous Arab and European ambassadors and diplomats during their visit to Jenin Camp.
The action exemplifies the occupation’s arrogance and represents a comprehensive breach of international norms and conventions.
On May 21, Israeli forces positioned at the Jenin refugee camp opened fire with live rounds at a diplomatic delegation that was entering the camp to assess the living conditions of the refugees.
A delegation of diplomats from Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Egypt, France, India, Japan, Jordan, Lithuania, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Sri Lanka, Spain, Turkey, the European Union, and the United Kingdom, alongside representatives from various other nations and a contingent of journalists, visited the camp.
The Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates facilitated a visit for the international community to observe the ongoing actions of the Israeli regime against Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank.
On January 21, Israel escalated its military operations in the occupied West Bank, stating that its efforts were aimed at targeting resistance fighters associated with the Jenin Battalion.
Israeli operations in the West Bank have intensified since October 7, 2023, coinciding with its campaigns in Gaza. During this period, Israeli forces and settlers are reported to have killed approximately 1,000 Palestinians in the occupied region.
There has been a significant surge in the number of assaults on Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank, involving both settlers and occupation forces.
The Israeli authorities have reportedly been responsible for the deaths of at least 1,000 Palestinians and the detention of 7,000 individuals in the occupied West Bank.
Thousands of residents have been forcibly displaced in recent months as occupation forces have driven them from their homes.
