Hamas demands imposing maximum punishment on collaborator

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, demanded on Sunday imposing the maximum punishment on occupation’s agents and called for taking the necessary measures to preserve the security of the society and protect the resistance.

The Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum praised in a press statement the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Interior in Gaza and its security services in tracking collaborators after the assassination of the leader Mazen Fuqaha.

In the context of following up Fuqaha’s assassination, the spokesman of the Ministry of Interior and National Security in Gaza, Iyad al-Bozom, said in a brief statement on his Facebook page on Saturday that tight measures are about to be taken against collaborators in the coming few days.

Following the assassination of Fuqaha, the hashtag “Retribution against collaborators” went viral on the local social media that supported any security measures expected to be implemented by the Ministry of Interior against them in the Gaza Strip.

Mazen Fuqaha, a Palestinian ex-prisoner who was released in Wafa al-Ahrar prisoner exchange deal, was murdered in front of his house by unknown gunmen with four bullets from a silencer gun on 24th March 2017 in Tal al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza city.

Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, announced that Fuqaha is one of the Brigades’ commanders, held Israel responsible for his assassination and vowed to respond to the crime.
