Six Israeli soldiers lost their lives, and ten others sustained injuries in a sophisticated ambush executed by Palestinian resistance forces late Monday in northern Gaza, as reported by Israeli media sources, which also emphasized the casualty of an additional soldier.

The Israeli Army’s Southern Command has launched an urgent investigation into one of the most severe security incidents encountered by forces in Gaza. Hospitals have been readied to treat the wounded, while social media channels in Israel have been abuzz with expressions of distress over the grim episode.

According to recent reports from media outlets, six soldiers lost their lives and 10 others sustained injuries in a well-executed ambush by the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza on Monday evening.

The event transpired when resistance fighters detonated an explosive device against an armored military vehicle carrying soldiers. Subsequently, they targeted a robot packed with tons of ammunition using an anti-tank missile during its preparation.

The resistance forces launched an attack on the Israeli rescue team that arrived at the scene. According to Israeli news outlets, Ashkelon residents reported hearing a “huge explosion.” It has been reported that one of the casualties included a senior officer.

The ongoing situation in northern Gaza is marked by intense firefights and significant disorder, according to reports. One soldier remains unaccounted for amid the chaos. Vehicles have been set ablaze, having ventured into zones laden with explosive devices and targeted by RPG rounds.

Reports from Israeli media indicate that multiple Israeli soldiers sustained burn injuries in the northern Gaza region.

In reports from Zionist media, it is stated that injured soldiers are currently being airlifted out of northern Gaza by military helicopters. These soldiers are being transported to five hospitals: Assuta Hospital in Ashdod, Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, Tel HaShomer Hospital in Ramat Gan, and Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet Trump at the White House, following reports from Israeli media about a significant ambush on Israeli soldiers in northern Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held discussions in Washington with the U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, and met with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The recent ambush in Gaza represents a significant setback for Netanyahu, as Hamas has managed to deliver a substantial blow. This development comes amid Netanyahu’s persistent efforts to continue the controversial military operations in Gaza, which have been a point of contention in delaying negotiations.
