Hamas: We will never stop defending our people

The Hamas Movement has affirmed that it will never abandon its duties and responsibilities in defending and protecting the Palestinian people, vowing to impose new equations on the ground.

In a statement on Thursday, Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum held the Israeli occupation state fully responsible for the continued escalation in Gaza and the consequences of its persistence in targeting resistance sites.

“This escalation comes in the context of the Israeli occupation’s ongoing foolishness and aggression against our Palestinian people and its persistence in exporting its internal crises to the Gaza Strip,” spokesman Barhoum said.

Israeli warplanes at dawn Thursday waged several aerial attacks on different areas of Gaza, with no reported casualties.

A spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army claimed the air raids were in response to one Palestinian rocket that had been fired from Gaza and intercepted in Israeli airspace.
