Haneyya: We will not allow the return of insecurity and chaos

Deputy Head of Hamas Movement’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya stated Tuesday that security apparatuses in Gaza will not allow the return of security chaos. Some people thought that the state of insecurity will return to Gaza due to the absence of the consensus government in Gaza and the political disagreement, he said.

Haneyya’s statement came during a meeting with Gaza Strip’s mayors and a number of notables and dignitaries, in addition to former Interior Minister Fathi Hammad and Major General Tawfiq Abu Naim. During the meeting, Gaza notables and dignitaries submitted a petition calling for exerting more efforts for the prosecution of criminals.

“Our security forces in Gaza managed to provide security and stability for the people. We will not allow insecurity and chaos back”. Haneyya vowed during the meeting to do his best to achieve what the petitioners asked.
