Haniyeh visits the liberated prisoner Sarsak


The Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh has visited the liberated prisoner Mahmoud Sarsak who was released after his successful hunger strike which lasted for 96 days in a row, and congratulated him and his family and all the Palestinian people on this great victory.

Haniyeh confirmed, during his visit to Sarsak’s house in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday, the commitment of Palestinian government and people to stand by the prisoners’ cause, praising their heroic battle led by Sarsak, in which he exposed the occupation’s crimes.

He wished Sarsak to live happy and good life and to continue the struggle against occupation through his sport skills, adding that the government will help him to return to his normal life as a football player.

For his part, the liberated prisoner Sarsak praised the Prime Minister’s visit, confirming that he will continue the struggle against the Israeli occupier in all fields and sport field in particular. He praised the government’s role in defending prisoners’ issue, wishing freedom to all Palestinian prisoners in occupation jails.

Haniyeh has also visited the European Hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, where he checked on a number of patients, and reviewed the progress of the work there, as he visited Ibrahim ‘Abdul Ghalban who suffered an unfortunate accident a few days ago.
