Attempts of attacking military posts between Qatana and al-Quneitra foiled; army advances

Units of Syrian Arab Army have repelled an attempt by “Free Army” militia to attack military posts along al-Salam Highway that links Qatana and al-Quneitra, as many operations were conducted in Khan al-Sheeh area, Beit Jin farms, Wohoush al-Abbasieh and Heeneh of Damascus countryside, killing and injuring scores of gunmen.
Units of armed forces have foiled militants’ attempt to infiltrate from the side of al-Hardeen village into Kanker, the thing that resulted in the killing and wounding a number of militants. The units also seized passports and documents belonging to Jordanian and Tunisian fighters; also, leaflets of “al-Nusra Front” that include information about the way of making improvised explosive devices (IEDs), explosive belts, bombs, dynamite and detonators were also found.
In another context, Syrian Arab Army units clashed with gunmen northeast Rankous of Damascus countryside.
Huge fire caused as a mortar shell hit al-Duailaa of Damascus
A mortar shell fired by militants has hit a textile factory located near Marr Elias Church at the entrance of the residential neighborhood of Duaila’a, the thing that caused a huge fire in the factory.
Breaking news Network correspondent reported that the factory was completely burned and the fire then spread to a number of shops and a workshop for car repairs. Firefighters finally managed to extinguish the fire, according to our reporter.
Fire caused material damage to shops in the site, but no human casualties were reported, our correspondent added
