Hezbollah Declares Second Liberation a Landmark Achievement in Our Nation’s History

On Wednesday, Hezbollah celebrated the seventh anniversary by extending its congratulations to the people of Lebanon.

On Wednesday, Hezbollah congratulated the Lebanese people on the seventh anniversary of the Second Liberation. This commemorates the joint efforts of the Lebanese Army, Hezbollah, and the Syrian Army in freeing the northern and eastern Lebanese border from ISIL and other Takfiri terrorists, who were posing a serious threat to the lives of millions of Lebanese and Syrians.

In a statement, Hezbollah’s Media Relations referred to the Second Liberation as a “day of triumph for Lebanon, its citizens, its military, and its resistance forces over the Takfiri militant groups.”

The declaration conveyed heartfelt salutations to our esteemed citizens in the Bekaa, who made significant sacrifices in the noble fight to save our nation from malevolence, extremism, and discord, thereby providing their people and country with security and stability.

“The anniversary of the Second Liberation Day marks a historic event, commemorating the mingling of the blood of martyrs from the resistant south of Lebanon with that of martyrs from the honorable Bekaa. It was on this occasion that the golden equation for Lebanon’s defense was firmly established on the battlefield,” the statement continued.

Hezbollah emphasized that the Second Liberation serves as a moment “to renew the idea of genuine national unity in its most exemplary form and to absorb the crucial lessons in tackling aggression and occupation.”

According to the statement, the conflict in Lebanon’s eastern regions, involving the Resistance, the Lebanese Army, and the Syrian Arab Army, resulted in Lebanon’s liberation from the threat posed by extremist terrorist groups. These groups had caused significant chaos and instability within Lebanon and the broader region, reportedly advancing the objectives of the Zionist-American agenda.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah stated that this year’s anniversary coincides with Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the courageous struggle of the steadfast and oppressed Palestinian people. This comes amidst widespread abandonment, except from the support fronts that have made significant sacrifices to defend justice against oppression.

“August 28th will forever be a shining testament to the monumental sacrifices of the Islamic Resistance martyrs’ convoys in Lebanon, alongside the Lebanese Army, the Syrian Arab Army, and the honorable residents of the Bekaa, particularly the martyrs’ families. This historic day will eternally find its place in the annals of our nation and its people,” the statement concluded.
