Hezbollah launches drone and missile attacks on Israeli military installations

Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement has launched extensive missile and drone attacks against Israel, striking deep within occupied territories.

In a military operation conducted on Sunday night, Hezbollah launched a series of missile attacks aimed at the Haifa Naval Base.

Reports indicate that several Israeli military bases, including Mishar, Shraga, and Doviv, have come under attack.

The group reportedly targeted and destroyed a minimum of six Israeli Merkava tanks across multiple locations, including Deir Mimas and Bayyada.

The resistance movement launched coordinated assaults on almost twelve Israeli settlements, with Yir’on, Kfar Blum, and Sasa among those affected.

Israeli military positions were subjected to multiple attacks, according to recent reports.

On Sunday, Hezbollah launched a substantial barrage of rockets targeting multiple locations across the northern regions of the occupied territories, including the city of Tel Aviv.

The recent attacks compelled millions of Israeli settlers to seek refuge in shelters.

Israeli media outlets have characterized the recent attacks as unparalleled in scope and intensity since the events of October last year.

Hebrew-language media reports indicate that a minimum of 10 Israelis have sustained injuries following rocket strikes in Petah Tikva, located east of Tel Aviv, as well as in Haifa and Nahariya.

According to reports from Israeli media outlets, rockets launched from Lebanon resulted in explosions being heard in central Tel Aviv.

In October 2023, Israel initiated military actions against Lebanon amidst ongoing hostilities in the Gaza Strip, marking a significant escalation in regional tensions.

Hezbollah has launched a series of retaliatory strikes aimed at the occupied Palestinian territories in response to ongoing hostilities.

Since late September, Israel has intensified its offensive against Hezbollah, reportedly targeting and eliminating its leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, along with several high-ranking officials within the organization.

According to the health ministry, Israeli strikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 3,600 individuals and injured approximately 15,400 others since the onset of hostilities last year.

The Lebanese resistance movement has pledged to persist in its activities against Israel for the duration of Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of at least 44,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children.
