Hezbollah Praises Leader’s Unwavering Support for Resistance Efforts
Hezbollah’s Secretary-General has lauded Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, for his unwavering support of the Lebanese resistance movement in its ongoing struggle against Israeli occupation and aggression.

Sheikh Naim Qassem delivered his comments on Tuesday during his inaugural interview with Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television channel, marking his first public appearance since assuming the position after the martyrdom of his predecessor, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
He emphasized the critical importance of the backing, affirming that the source of this support, Imam Khamenei’s unwavering commitment, remains resolute.
An official from the resistance highlighted how the Islamic Republic maintained its backing for the Lebanese resistance movement amid the Israeli regime’s deadly escalation against Lebanon, which commenced in October 2023, all while avoiding direct military intervention.
Sheikh Qassem stated that Iran had exerted maximum effort, posing the rhetorical question, “What more could we ask for?”
**Iran’s Enduring Pillar of Resistance**
In related developments, it was highlighted that the group has “never requested Iran’s involvement in the conflict, nor was such a request necessary. Iran’s support is the cornerstone of our resilience and that of the entire resistance.”
An official underscored that direct military involvement is not the sole avenue for providing significant support. “Engagement manifests in various ways. Iran took action that was crucial and had a profound impact,” the official stated.
**”Surrender Declared Off the Table”**
In other statements, Sheikh Qassem firmly dismissed the idea of his group abandoning its armed resistance amid ongoing Israeli aggression and occupation.
He declared that there is no alternative between triumph and martyrdom, emphasizing that surrender is not a possibility.
Hezbollah has issued a stark warning, indicating that it will not remain passive indefinitely amid ongoing Israeli violations.
The resistance leader asserted that Hezbollah will not “wait indefinitely” in response to the Israeli regime’s breach of a ceasefire agreement established last year to halt escalating tensions.
He emphasized that the movement’s patience has its boundaries.
He highlighted that the ceasefire was reached following Hezbollah’s successful efforts in curtailing the regime’s aims, including restricting Israeli progression into southern Lebanon.
**Hezbollah Undertakes Investigation into Pager Explosions, Nasrallah Assassination Attempt**
In other parts of his speech, the secretary-general of Hezbollah announced the formation of a central investigative committee. This committee is charged with examining significant matters, including the pager explosions targeting its members and the assassination of the group’s esteemed former leader.
The committee announced its investigation into the 2024 explosions that impacted thousands of explosive-laden pagers and walkie-talkie devices used by the Lebanese population, including members of Hezbollah.
A series of simultaneous explosions across the nation resulted in the tragic loss of 42 lives and left over 3,500 individuals injured.
An official has indicated that the role of human espionage contributing to the tragedy seems significantly limited when compared to the technological breaches attributed to the Israeli regime.
The investigative committee, he noted, is also examining the circumstances surrounding the assassination of Nasrallah, who was killed amid intense Israeli airstrikes on Beirut in that year.
Sheikh Qassem commented on the former resistance figure’s significant leadership, noting that he assumed the helm of the movement despite the formidable challenge of succeeding such a prominent leader.
He emphasized that Nasrallah symbolized the essence of resistance, and asserted that, despite his assassination, Hezbollah would persist on its course with unwavering loyalty and strength.
The committee, comprising multiple subcommittees, was also examining the Israeli operation that resulted in the assassination of Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, the former leader of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, according to Sheikh Qassem.
He stated that multiple monitoring and investigation points have been set up as part of ongoing efforts to examine the issues.
Hezbollah’s initiatives in support of Palestinian causes have garnered attention due to their operational activities and strategic positioning. The group’s engagement in the region underscores its ongoing commitment to the Palestinian struggle, reflecting broader geopolitical dynamics.
In other parts of his speech, Sheikh Qassem highlighted the various operations initiated by Hezbollah following the onset of what was described as a genocidal war by the Israeli regime against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
The strikes were authorized just two days after hostilities began, following an “in-person meeting.”
He emphasized that, despite the operations significantly impacting the regime, Hezbollah has opted to participate in “limited engagement” to support the Palestinians in the coastal enclave.
The operation primarily sought to redirect Israeli forces towards the northern region of Palestine, prompting the evacuation of Israeli settlers and diminishing Israeli military capabilities in the vicinity of Gaza.
