Hizbullah, Amal Movement Urge Gov’t to Tackle Livelihood Issues, Follow up Lebanese Abductees in Syria

The leaderships of Hizbullah and the Amal movement in the south tackled the livelihood and social crises suffered by the Lebanese citizens. During one of their regular meetings, both parties called upon the government to quickly take action to resolve all files related to electricity, water, and the rightful demands of the public sector workers.

In a statement issued after the meeting held in the southern city of Nabatiyeh, both parties’ leaderships stressed the importance of tackling the case of the Lebanese civilians abducted in Syria on a national basis; which obliges the government to follow it up to reach a happy ending.
Underscoring the Syrian issue, both parties asserted the need to confront the US-led arrogant conspiracy targeting Syria and the resistance sites in the region. They added that this conspiracy prevents a solution through dialogue between the regime and the opposition; as it is the sole way to save Syria from civil war and internal conflicts.

Furthermore, both parties greeted all the Lebanese on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, which happens to come this year in the 6th anniversary of the July 2006 divine victory.

They indicated that the aforementioned victory will always remain the lantern for all the liberals and free people in both the Arab and Islamic world, and a witness for the “Israeli” defeat. Also, they affirmed that the victory also stages clear evidence that the unity of the people, army, and resistance achieves victories, revives and protects the country.
