The situation in Syria is mess West’s liberal democracy has made

Tehran’s Friday Prayers leader has described the situation in Syria as the mess, the West’s liberal democracy has made in the region.

According to IRIB World Service, addressing a massive crowd of Friday prayers worshippers in Tehran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami in the second sermon pointed to the massacre of women and children in Syria and said: “Killing women and children in Syria, tying up a little girl’s hands and feet and killing her Parents, as well as getting a Muslim’s heart out of his chest and chewing it, is the sign of the mess the West’s democracy has made in the region.”

The Ayatollah also pointed to the grave conditions in the US prisons, including the notorious Guantanamo bay prison and the country’s secret jails in Europe as well as Washington’s support for terrorists in Pakistan, Iraq and Syria and asked: “What has happened that after 30 months, the US has taken the issue of humanity and punishment in Syria into consideration?”

He further said the allegations against the Syrian government about the use of chemical attacks against militants is a false claim, adding the Syrian army is so strong that it does not need using chemical attack against opposition.
