Syria: Gov’t Forces Marching on Terrorists’ Centers South of Aleppo Province

The Syrian soldiers and the National Defense Forces targeted the sites and centers of the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front near the villages of Tal Hediyeh and al-Barqoum, the regions of Abu Shleim and al-Hadabeh al-Khadhra and in surroundings of the towns of Khan Touman and al-Hadher in the Southern battlefield of the province, which ended in the killing or wounding of scores of the terrorists.
Al-Nusra’s military vehicles, including the machinegun-equipped ones, were destroyed in the army attacks in large scale.
In relevant developments on Wednesday a massive operation by several terrorist groups to take control of a number of towns in Western Aleppo ended up in a fiasco after a crushing counter-attack by pro-government forces on Wednesday.
An alliance of al-Shamia Front, Ahrar al-Sham, al-Nusra Front and Ajnad al-Sham terrorist groups started massive operations to seize back Barna, Zeytan, Khan Touman, al-Khalediyeh and al-Aziza in Western and Southwestern parts of Aleppo province, but they were pushed back by the Syrian army and popular forces.
At least 40 terrorists were killed in several hours of heavy exchange of fire with the Syrian government troops and popular forces.
A large number of terrorists fled the scene of the bloody clashes after loosing tens of their comrades in pro-government troops’ unexpectedly powerful defense and counterpunch, leaving behind their armored and military vehicles.
