Imam Ayatollah Khamenei Declares Defeat of Zionist Forces by Resistance Movement

In a recent address, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed, declared the Palestinian resistance as the prevailing force against what he termed the "Zionist occupiers" in the ongoing conflict. He highlighted that Hamas's continued engagement in Gaza serves as a testament to what he describes as the Israeli regime's defeat.

On Thursday, November 7, Ayatollah Khamenei addressed members of the Assembly of Experts of the Leadership during a session held at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah in Tehran.

At the conclusion of the second session of its sixth term, the Assembly of Experts received high praise from Ayatollah Khamenei, who lauded its status as a pivotal revolutionary body within the framework of the Islamic Revolution. The Leader underscored that this characterization stems from the Assembly’s crucial responsibility in appointing the nation’s leadership.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei highlighted the expansion, vitality, and persistent resilience of groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas. He expressed confidence that, bolstered by unwavering divine support and the historical successes of these organizations, the latest developments would undoubtedly result in triumph for the so-called Front of Truth and the Resistance Front.

Ayatollah Khamenei underscored the critical importance of the Assembly of Experts and stressed the necessity for meticulous scrutiny in the selection of the Leader. He emphasized that utmost precision must be applied in assessing the qualifications mandated by the Constitution for the leadership role. All criteria, including a deeply-rooted and genuine commitment to the Revolution’s path and objectives, as well as an unwavering dedication to tireless progress towards these goals, must be thoroughly evaluated to confirm the individual’s suitability for this significant responsibility.

The Leader underscored the crucial role of the Assembly of Experts, highlighting its pivotal function in maintaining the continuity of the system’s progress toward its objectives. The Leader emphasized that the Assembly serves as a safeguard against any disruption in leadership. In the event of necessity, the Experts are prepared to swiftly appoint a successor, thereby ensuring a seamless and empowered leadership transition.

According to a report by khamenei.ir, the Leader emphasized the autonomy of the system from individual influences, citing the smooth process of leadership selection as evidence. He stated, “These transitions illustrate that although individuals are assigned specific tasks, the system’s progress is not dependent on them and remains uninterrupted by their absence.”

In a recent address, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the importance of the current period, marking the fortieth day following the death of the esteemed and diligent fighter, Martyr Seyed Hassan Nasrallah. The Leader expressed his admiration for Nasrallah and other prominent figures and commanders within the Resistance, such as Martyrs Haniyeh, Safieddine, Sinwar, and Nilforushan. Khamenei acknowledged their contributions, stating that these martyrs have enhanced the honor, strength, and capability of the Resistance Front.

The Leader praised Hezbollah as the lasting legacy of Martyr Nasrallah, asserting that under the extraordinary courage, wisdom, patience, and faith demonstrated by the revered leader of the Resistance, the organization has undergone remarkable growth. Consequently, despite facing adversaries equipped with extensive material and propaganda tools, Hezbollah has remained resilient, and, by the grace of God, will continue to be an indomitable force.

He accused the United States and certain European nations of having a direct involvement in the crimes perpetrated in Gaza and Lebanon, suggesting a complicit role in the ongoing conflict. He expressed confidence that the persistent efforts of resistance movements in Lebanon, Gaza, and Palestine would ultimately lead to success for the coalition he referred to as the Front of Truth and the Resistance Front. He affirmed that the hopeful prospects for the Resistance Movement are grounded in what he described as a divine promise, which, by endorsing jihad for the oppressed, assures God’s support for those who assist in His cause.

Ayatollah Khamenei has highlighted the achievements of the Resistance movement against Zionist forces over recent decades as further evidence pointing to the eventual triumph of the Front of Truth. He emphasized that over the past 40 years, Hezbollah has compelled the Zionist regime to withdraw at various points, notably from cities such as Beirut, Sidon, and Tyre, ultimately resulting in a complete retreat from southern Lebanon. This has led to the liberation of numerous cities, villages, and regions from what he described as the ominous presence of that regime.

The Leader underscored Hezbollah’s impressive accomplishments in defeating an adversary equipped with extensive military, propaganda, political, and economic resources, along with significant backing from international powers such as the United States. This, he noted, exemplifies Hezbollah’s growing capabilities and its evolution from a modest band of fighters committed to their cause into a formidable organization.

He assessed the Palestinian Resistance as the prevailing side in the ongoing conflict with Israeli forces. He stated, “The aim of the Israeli campaign was to dismantle Hamas; however, despite the heavy toll of casualties numbering in the tens of thousands, targeted killings of Resistance and Hamas leaders, and the global exposure of their controversial and criticized actions, this objective remains unfulfilled. The continued resilience of Hamas suggests a setback for the Israeli regime,” he remarked.

Ayatollah Khamenei has characterized Hezbollah as a resilient entity committed to its enduring opposition to the Zionist regime. He noted, “Some figures in Lebanon, notably within political circles, have erroneously believed that Hezbollah has diminished in strength and have begun to criticize the group. However, they are misguided and mistaken, as Hezbollah remains robust despite losing key leaders such as Seyed Hassan Nasrallah and Seyed Safieddine. With its unwavering morale and dedicated combatants, Hezbollah continues to engage vigorously in its resistance. The adversary has not succeeded in overcoming it, nor will it ever.”

The Leader emphasized the belief that a time will come when the global and regional landscape will see the definitive defeat of the Zionist regime by the mujahideen. He expressed hope that this day will be witnessed by all.

He also honored the memory of Martyrs Raisi and Ale-Hashem, who were the late representatives of the Sixth Assembly of Experts.
