140 solidarity activists to visit Gaza early February

Coordinator of “Miles of Smiles” convoys Isam Yousif declared 2014 as the year of breaking the Israeli siege imposed on Gaza Strip.

He affirmed to al-Kitab Channel on Thursday that a large convoy under the name “Miles of Smiles 25” is going to head for Gaza next February.

Approximately 140 solidarity activists from Arab and European countries will take part in the convoy, he added.

He stressed that the solidarity activists work intensively to make this convoy a unique one and different from previous aid convoys.

Concerning Rafah border crossing, he said that contacts have been made with Egyptian authorities to allow humanitarian convoys into the besieged Strip.

He called for intensifying solidarity events and activities to expose the impacts of the Israeli on the daily lives of the population in Gaza.
