Syrian Army, Air Force Hit ISIL’s Defense Lines Hard in Eastern Homs

 

Syrian Army troops along with the country’s warplanes targeted ISIL’s positions and gatherings in energy-rich regions in Eastern Homs, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The army units and aircraft targeted ISIL’s concentration centers in Hayan Gas Field and al-Bayarat to the Northwest of the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur), destroying several positions and military vehicles.

In the meantime, the fighter jets pounded ISIL’s movements and gatherings from Hayan gas field to al-Bardeh region and near the town of al-Quaryatayn in Southwestern Homs, destroying several tanks and military vehicles East of Hayan.

The terrorists detonated the gas pipelines from Hayan, creating vast fires in the region.

The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL and managed to advance against them towards al-Bayarat West of Tadmur, taking control over several farms.

The ISIL suffered a heavy death toll and one of its armored vehicles equipped with machineguns sustained major damage in the attack.

In relevant developments in the province on Monday, the army troops continued their advances against ISIL terrorists in Eastern Homs, capturing Hayan Gas Company and another key region.

The army men alongside the Russian military helicopters attacked ISIL’s defense lines and drove the terrorists out of Hayan Gas Company and al-Mojbal region along Homs-Palmyra road, inflicting major losses on the militants.

The army soldiers have started to fortify their positions in Hayan gas company.

In the meantime, the army troops further advanced towards Jahar oilfield and its surrounding hills and managed to take back several hills, imposing control over al-Maher oilfield.
