Int’l Condemnation of Saudi Invasion of Yemen Growing; Syria Voices Grave Concern

Syria said it was “deeply concerned” about dangerous developments in Yemen after a Saudi-led military operation was launched on the Arab Muslim nation on Thursday.
Syria’s state television quoted a source at the Foreign Ministry who also said that Damascus urged Yemeni parties to engage in dialogue and reach a political solution.

Warplanes of the Saudi Air Force killed 25 civilians in air raids on the Yemeni capital early on Thursday.

Riyadh claimed that it has bombed the positions of the Ansarullah fighters and launched attacks against the Sana’a airport and the Dulaimi airbase.

But despite Riyadh’s claims, Saudi warplanes have flattened a number of homes near Sana’a international airport. Based on early reports, the Saudi airstrikes on Yemen have so far claimed the lives of 25 civilians with more deaths feared, Yemeni sources said.
