Iran and Russia Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Strategic Alliance
The leaders of Iran and Russia have underscored their mutual commitment to enhancing strategic collaboration and thoroughly executing the recently signed comprehensive cooperation agreement between the two nations.

During a telephone discussion focused on bilateral relations and encompassing both regional and global developments, Masoud Pezeshkian and Vladimir Putin of Russia evaluated the advancement of collaborative projects. Key areas of their assessment included the financial and banking sectors, rail and road transportation, as well as the energy industry.
The Iranian presidency’s website reported that the leaders of Iran and Russia have hailed the signing of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement as a testament to the profound ties between Tehran and Moscow. This agreement marks a significant milestone in bolstering political, economic, trade, and security collaboration between the nations.
High-level officials from both parties emphasized their resolute commitment to the full implementation of the agreement.
Russian President Vladimir Putin extended his well-wishes for the indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States, expressing Russia’s willingness to offer necessary technical support to facilitate the discussions.
Iran and Russia, as steadfast allies with strategic ties, have significantly strengthened their relations across multiple sectors in recent years, undeterred by substantial sanctions imposed by Western nations.
In April, Putin officially endorsed a bill, ratifying the strategic partnership treaty with Iran that had been signed in January.
The agreement is set to last for twenty years and lays out the legal foundation for enduring collaboration across multiple sectors, such as defense, energy, industry, agriculture, finance, transportation, science, culture, and technology.
The primary objective of the long-term accord is to encourage investments in the oil and gas sectors, as well as the advancement of peaceful nuclear energy initiatives.
The initiative seeks to create an international payment system that functions independently of third-party nations, utilizing national currencies for its operations.
