Iran arrests two al-Qaeda terrorists

Iranian security forces have reportedly arrested two individuals affiliated with al-Qaeda terrorist group in the country’s northwestern town of Sardasht.
The two militants, identified by their first names as Nemat and Naser, were arrested two days ago by Iran’s security forces in West Azarbaijan Province, an informed official said on Thursday on the condition of anonymity.
“Some notes and books related with the misleading cult of Wahhabism were confiscated from these individuals,” IRNA quoted the source as saying.
According to the Iranian official, the detainees who were arrested on the charge of promoting Wahhabist ideology would face trial in the near future.
In December 2010, seven other al-Qaeda members were arrested by Iran’s security forces in Sardasht.
