Syrian Army in Clash with Turkey-Backed Militants in Northern Aleppo

 

Media sources reported that the Syrian Army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with the Ankara-backed militants in Northern Aleppo after the militants opened artillery fire at government forces’ positions.

Hawar news reported that the militants that are backed up by the Turkish army opened heavy artillery fire at the pro-government forces’ positions in al-Tamoureh region in Northern Aleppo, adding that in return the Syrian soldiers engaged in heavy fighting with the militants.

Hawar news further added that the army’s artillery and missile units shelled terrorists’ defense lines in Anadan mountain in Northern Aleppo simultaneous with the calashes with the militants backed up by the Turkish army.

In the meantime, fierce clashes also erupted between the Syrian soldiers and terrorists in regions near al-Zahara district in the Northwestern outskirts of Aleppo city, local sources said, adding that the army’s artillery and missile units also pounded terrorists’ positions in the settlements of Babeidh and Kafr Seen in Northern Aleppo.

The sources further said that the Russian fighter jets bombed heavily terrorists’ movements and concentration centers in the villages of Haraytan, Hayan and the town of Anadan in Northern Aleppo, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

Relevant reports said on Wednesday that the army troops continued to advance against Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) in areas surrounding the town of Anadan, capturing a key hill.

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra in Northern Aleppo and managed to take back control of al-Mo’askar hill that overlooks directly the town of Anadan.

The Al-Nusra suffered heavy casualties in the army attack.
