Iran Committed to Negotiations, Intends to Vigorously Continue Peaceful Nuclear Activities, Says Pezeshkian

Iran's president has affirmed the Islamic Republic's commitment to the indirect discussions with the United States, expressing seriousness in achieving a peace-oriented agreement. This underscores the nation's steadfast resolve to continue its peaceful nuclear activities.

Masoud Pezeshkian announced on Sunday that the nation is engaged in serious negotiations as it seeks to achieve peace. However, he emphasized that the country remains steadfast in holding onto its nuclear accomplishments, especially those related to peaceful energy pursuits.

During a cabinet meeting, he emphasized a strong commitment to advancing these peaceful initiatives.

Iranian officials have declared that the complete dismantling of the nation’s nuclear facilities is not an acceptable course of action.

Pezeshkian has stated that the Islamic Republic considers the demand for the complete dismantlement of its nuclear infrastructure to be “unacceptable.”

For years, the United States and its allies have consistently alleged that the Islamic Republic is in pursuit of “nuclear weapons,” despite Iran’s steadfast and unequivocal assertions that it neither seeks nor develops such armaments, in accordance with its moral and religious tenets.

According to reports, the United States and its allies have imposed an array of unauthorized and unilateral sanctions on the Islamic Republic.

The United States and Israel, regarded as Washington’s closest regional ally, have frequently threatened military action against Iran’s nuclear sites. They have consistently called for the complete dismantling of Iran’s nuclear capabilities, a demand recently echoed by Trump.

The Islamic Republic’s dedication to maintaining a peaceful nuclear program has been extensively verified by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which has uncovered no evidence to substantiate the allegations made by Washington and its allied parties.

The Islamic Republic’s nuclear activities have undergone unparalleled verification measures, as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has subjected the country’s nuclear endeavors to the most stringent oversight when compared to any other member nation.

Pezeshkian emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran has not, does not, and will not seek to develop nuclear weapons.

He reiterated the country’s steadfast religious and legal stance opposing the development of nuclear weapons, referencing Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s fatwa that categorically prohibits any pursuit in this regard.

Iran is reportedly advancing its nuclear energy initiatives, emphasizing the substantial benefits these advancements provide beyond energy production. According to remarks made by Trump, this progress also plays a crucial role in vital sectors including medicine, agriculture, and environmental protection.

During the cabinet session, wider regional matters were discussed, with Pezeshkian emphasizing Iran’s commitment to fostering peace and security across the entire region.

Iran reiterated its commitment to fostering stability in the West Asia region, advocating for a landscape free from the influence of external powers.

In a call for regional unity, the leader criticized Israel for contributing to regional instability with continued occupation and violent actions.
