Yabroud battle: the Army paralyzes supplying the insurgents through blocking the crossings

Syrian Arab Army continues battling in Yabroud city to determine the outcomes at al-Qalamoun, especially after taking control over many areas nearby the city.
The Lebanese newspaper “al-Akhbar” quoted media sources as saying that the Army is operating on two axes, the first one near Ersal town and the second around Yabroud.
The sources pointed out that the battle’s goal is to block the road that links between al-Qalamoun and Ersal, and which is used to provide al-Qalamoun with arms and insurgents and moreover to send car bombs from Yabroud to Lebanon.
The sources stressed that the Army took control over more than 10 illegal crossings linking al-Qalamoun mountains with Ersal of 18 were used by the rebels.
The sources emphasized that only the crossings near Fleta town are under the control of the armed militias and some negotiations taking place between the army and some of the elders of the town to avoid a devastating battles.
