US Empire(!) seeking to spread its ‘tentacles’ across the world

The US is seeking to spread its “tentacles throughout the world” but it will be impossible for Washington to do so because it is running out of both men and money, says an American political commentator.

The US and China have recently been engaged in a series of rows after Beijing declared an Air Defense Identification Zone in the South China Sea back in November.

The Air Defense Identification Zone includes a cluster of islands which are claimed by both Japan and China.

During his last week’s visit to Japan, US Secretary of State John Kerry told reporters that the US “neither recognizes nor accepts” China’s air-defense zone.

China’s Foreign Ministry urged “the US to hold a rational and fair attitude” and “stop making irresponsible remarks so as not to harm regional stability and the China-US relationship.”

“The United States has no business intervening in a dispute in the South China Sea between China and Japan,” said Mark Dankof, former US Senate candidate and political commentator, in a phone interview with Press TV on Monday.

Dankof also called on US officials to stop trying to spread their military tentacles across the globe because as he believes they would not be able to do so.

“It hasn’t escaped intelligent people’s judgment and attention that the United States is already overextended in its military commitments in the Middle East. We find ourselves getting involved in conflicts in the Horn of Arica and all throughout sub-Saharan Africa. We find ourselves again trying to extend the tentacles of our empire throughout the globe and it’s simply impossible to do it. It’s not only not right to do it, but the United States is running out of both men and money,” he said.
