Iran FM states that achieving peace in West Asia is unattainable without the conclusion of the zionist occupation
According to Iran's Foreign Minister, establishing peace both in the West Asia region and globally necessitates acknowledging the Palestinians' right to self-determination and concluding the Israeli occupation and apartheid practices.

During the 10th session of the UN Alliance of Civilizations Global Forum in Cascais, Portugal, Abbas Araghchi highlighted the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. He expressed strong criticism towards international institutions for their perceived inaction over the past fourteen months, amid ongoing allegations of crimes committed by the Zionist regime.
“The actions of the Israeli government have presented a significant challenge to the international community, prompting global scrutiny and response.”
The Iranian Foreign Minister has criticized international entities, including the United Nations Security Council, the International Court of Justice, and the International Criminal Court, stating they have not adequately met their core responsibilities in addressing grave breaches of international law and human rights.
He called on the international community to urgently unite in taking decisive action against what he described as the “colonial and racist” Zionist agenda.
He cautioned that the Zionist regime has aimed to eliminate the Palestinian people for several decades, asserting that the situation in Gaza represents yet another phase in a long-standing history of actions perceived as genocidal against Palestinians.
A call for concrete measures to address the actions of the Zionist regime has been issued, warning that the United Nations’ credibility and the integrity of its core values are at risk unless such actions are taken.
The Iranian minister highlighted the accountability of nations backing the Zionist regime for its alleged crimes. He stressed that the United States, along with other countries offering military and political support to the regime, should face repercussions for their involvement.
Araghchi has urged for the comprehensive enforcement of the International Court of Justice’s interim orders aimed at preventing genocide against Palestinians. Additionally, he called for the swift execution of the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Araghchi criticized Israeli leadership for what he described as a longstanding practice of using accusations of anti-Semitism to suppress dissent and criticism of Israel’s military and aggressive strategies.
