“Arbaeen walk up for global registration”

Talking to IRNA late Wednesday, Seyyed Hadi Hosseini added that details of Arbaeen walk as a religious and social event have been compiled for global registration.

Noting that Arbaeen is a passionate ritual in terms of journey motivation, types of hospitality and entertainment, he described it as unique in the world.

Manifestations of Arbaeen ritual are impressive for the entire world and that’s for the same reason its global registration is not a hard task.

Arbaeen pilgrimage or Arbaeen walk is widely recognized as the single largest annual peaceful gathering in the world where people swarm together and walk towards the shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) to pay tribute to their greatest sacrifices.

Millions of devotees undertake the journey that is marked with prayers, mourning ceremonies and acts of charity.
