Top Security Official: Iran’s Oil Trade in Appropriate, Irreversible Conditions, No More Considered as Tradable Concession

Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani underlined that the sanctions have lost their impact on his country's oil exports and the return of its revenues.

“The Iran’s oil trading and its financial affairs, has reached appropriate and irreversible conditions,” Shamkhani wrote on his twitter page in reaction to a promise by the western countries to lift sanctions on Iran in return for certain concessions.

It is not possible to promise to lift a sanction that has become ineffective, in order to score a point, he added.

Shamkhani also used the #ActiveResistance at the end of his tweet.

In relevant remarks earlier this month, Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Rayeesi said that his country is selling its crude oil and the revenues are returned to Iran.

President Rayeesi made the remarks, addressing a ceremony through video conferencing on the sidelines of his provincial visit to Hormozgan Province in Southern Iran.

He said that the country’s oil exports have increased by 40% and the revenues from oil exports return to the country.

The president also said that according to the statistics of the Central Bank, the inflation rate in the country is decreasing.

Iran has considerably increased its non-oil exports in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021-December 23, 2021), the Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) announced last month.
