Iran’s Progress as “Incentive” to Moves in Muslim World: The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyed Ali Khamenei

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyed Ali Khamenei said the current awakening moves in the Muslim world and the general public tendency towards Islamic causes and ideals are the result of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s progressive move and its impacts on the Muslims’ public opinion.

“Each scientific success or progress by the Islamic Republic and great social moves such as spirited elections as well as the Islamic Republic’s resistance and persistence against the bullying of the arrogant powers encourages nations to pursue independence based on Islam,”The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyed Ali Khamenei said, addressing senior Iranian judiciary officials on Wednesday.

“Accordingly, the bullying powers have concentrated all of their power on the Iranian nation in a bid to possibly undermine prosperity of this main center,” The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyed Ali Khamenei underscored.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyed Ali Khamenei said that hues and cries on Iran’s human rights record and the country’s nuclear energy program are part of the powers’ efforts to undermine Iran’s progress.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyed Ali Khamenei has on many occasions underscored the Islamic Revolution’s inspiring role and effect on the region and the world, saying that uprisings and revolutions in the region are encouraged by Iran’s Islamic Revolution.

Since the beginning of 2011, the Muslim world has witnessed popular uprisings and revolutions similar to what happened in Iran in 1979.

Tunisia saw the overthrow of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in a popular revolution in January, which was soon followed by a revolution which toppled Hosni Mubarak in Egypt in February.

Libya was the third country touched by the Islamic Awakening. Libyans also embraced victory after months of bloody campaign against the country’s dictator, Muammar al-Qaddafi.

Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Yemen have since been the scene of protests against their totalitarian rulers, who have resorted to brutal crackdown on demonstrations to silence their critics.
