Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council of Lebanon Sheikh Abdul-Amir Qablan hailed Iran for its all-out support for the oppressed nations of the Muslim countries.
“Iran, as the main pillar of the Muslim Ummah, has stood firmly against the enemies of Islam in a bid to help the victory of Islam,” Sheikh Qablan said in a meeting with Iranian ambassador to Beirut on Thursday.

The senior Lebanese cleric said that Iran is the hub of Muslim World, and said, “We pray to God to help Iran to remain as a shelter for the impoverished nations of the world.”

In relevant remarks in June, Sheikh Qablan urged a united front against ISIL Takfiri militants who are carrying out terror acts in Iraq, Lebanon and other regional countries.

The ISIL terrorist group had earlier threatened that Lebanon would be the next target of its terrorist attacks.

He said that Takfiri currents are bred by colonial powers with the aim of splitting up Islamic countries, creating sedition and destroying the region at the service of Israel’s interests.

Sheikh Qablan said that Iran set a model for fighting terrorism in the Middle East.
Iranian officials on different occasions have called for the regional countries’ vigilance against the enemies’ plots and threats.

On Tuesday, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said the Middle East region has always been targeted by the divisive plots hatched by the hegemonic powers and Israel to weaken unity among Muslims to plunder their wealth.

“The regional states must exercise vigilance to thwart the plots threatening their countries,” Amir Abdollahian said in a meeting with Chairman of Qatar’s National Human Rights Committee Ali Bin Samikh al-Marri in Tehran.
