Iran Promises Decisive Reaction to Any Acts of Aggression

Iran has asserted its position on the current conflict, with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stating that the nation has neither initiated the hostilities nor wishes for their prolongation. However, he warned that Tehran is prepared to deliver decisive responses should the Israeli regime's acts of aggression persist.

In a telephone discussion with his Egyptian counterpart on Saturday night, Pezeshkian expressed concerns that the Zionist regime is actively working to escalate tensions between Iran and its regional allies.

He conveyed a strong belief that Israeli efforts are destined for failure.

Pezeshkian stated that the Zionist regime initiated its hostilities as Iran was involved in indirect discussions with the United States, seeking to address unresolved matters through diplomatic dialogue.

The president announced, as reported by his official website, “We did not initiate this conflict, nor do we desire to extend it. Yet, if the aggression continues, we will respond with determination.”

In a recent statement, Pezeshkian criticized the Zionist regime for allegedly acting with the endorsement of the United States and engaging in calculated moves to create divisions between Iran and its neighbors. He conveyed assurances to the Egyptian president and other regional leaders that the Zionists would not succeed in inciting conflict among the Muslim nations.

On June 13, Israel launched an unexpected military offensive against Iran, executing airstrikes targeting nuclear facilities, military installations, and residential areas. These actions have led to the deaths of over 400 Iranians, encompassing high-ranking military officials, nuclear scientists, and civilians.

The Iranian military has launched immediate counterattacks, with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force executing 20 waves of missile strikes against the Zionist regime under the banner of Operation True Promise III, as of June 22.
