Iran ranks 1st in region in terms of producing science

Iran ranks first in the region in terms of producing science and it also enjoy a high status in the world, said the deputy minister of science, research and technology for cultural and social affairs here on Saturday.

Addressing a ceremony honoring the selected students of Razavi Lifestyle and Teachings Competition, Gholamreza Khejh-Sarvi added that this has happened thanks to the efforts of instructors and university students.

Referring to the martyrdom of several instructors and students specializing in nuclear sciences, he noted that their martyrdom proved to the world that using nuclear energy for peaceful purpioses is the right of the Iranian nation.

International Razavi Festival lacked a student section in the past, he said, adding that the section was created in cooperation with the Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry and universities nationwide.
