Iran reacts to US gas propaganda

In response to the US companies gas propaganda launched against gas-producing countries, Iran says it has discovered new oil and gas reserves.
The newly discovered oil and gas reserves are the first underground hydrocarbon reserves located in Paleozoic layers, and it has extended from Borazjan to the Persian Gulf coasts.

The US has 9.1trillion cubic meter of gas reserves, which has made it one of gas-reach countries in the world. Since two years ago, with the extraction technology developed, and gas production from unconventional reserves (such as shale layers) the US has stopped importing gas from others, and itself has become an exporter of LNG.

The US gas companies have launched attempts media propaganda against countries with conventional gas reserves, and embarked on unconventional gas extraction in Asia and Europe. They have signed extraction contracts in China, India and EU countries like Poland to minimize their dependence to imported gas from Russia and Iran.

Gas experts believe that extraction of unconventional reserves would be economically justified only when the oil price is set in $ 100 or 110 per barrel, otherwise, the benefits rising from such projects soon would fade away.

In reaction to such deafening propaganda by the US companies in Europe and Asia, Iran has turned its additional trump card that would be a revolution in gas markets in the world. According to last estimations b the Oil Ministry, recoverable gas reserves of Iran is 33 trillions of cubic meters of gas, and with the current pace of extraction (150 million cubic meters) it would have gas for 100 years to export, without any new discovers.
