Iran renews political solution to Syrian Crisis

Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini renewed his country’s support for a political solution to the crisis in Syria through dialogue and away from any external interference.

Hosseini, in an interview with al-Manar TV on Tuesday, said that Iran hopes that the international conference on Syria will be convened.

He added that his country does not want the crisis to continue, but the intervention of Western countries and some regional countries in Syria complicated the situation and led to the continuation of bloodshed.

” Those countries which interfere in Syria have reached an impasse and realized that they would not be able to proceed with its policies,” Hosseini said, adding that it is better for these countries to retreat and respect the opinion and the will of the Syrian people in the upcoming elections.

Hosseini stressed that Syria is not alone in the face of what it is exposed to as it is supported by Iran, Russia and other countries to prevent the United States and other Western countries of thinking of direct military intervention in Syria.

The Iranian Minister said that these countries have put all their energies and potentials against Syria and sent takfiri terrorists equipped with necessary and modern weapons and money but did not achieve any results.

Hosseinin clarified that wars, at the end, must be resolved through dialogue between the different parties, so the Western countries and some regional countries should help resolve the crisis in Syria through stopping sending weapons and terrorists and enabling the Syrians to determine their fate by themselves without any foreign interference.
