Iran has reportedly put forward a proposal for a comprehensive nuclear agreement that would allow the country to continue its uranium enrichment activities while implementing a series of measures intended to address concerns raised by the United States. In return, Iran seeks the effective lifting of sanctions.
Iran is reportedly set to announce its willingness to engage in the next round of indirect nuclear negotiations with the United States, contingent upon the condition that Tehran’s established red lines remain intact.
In a development last week, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that a proposal from the United States was conveyed through Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.
Iranian official Araqchi announced on platform X that Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi of Oman made a brief visit to Tehran. During the visit, Al Busaidi presented components of a U.S. proposal, which Araqchi stated would receive a response aligned with Iran’s principles, national interests, and the rights of its people.
Since April 12, Iran and the United States have engaged in five rounds of negotiations, facilitated by Oman, aimed at securing an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program and addressing the issue of sanctions imposed on Tehran.
